I wanted to like this so much more than I did. The book is very flat and shallow- characters and locations are sketched in so lightly nothing felt interesting, no one was good or evil.

In addition the language and references are so very of the moment that it already felt dated to me as I read it. If you enjoy reading about the google lunchroom, an article in Wired will serve you better. If you like old magic books, read codex by lev grossman and if you want a humorous take on SF, read A Dirty Job

Fun book! Solving a code with a team or groups of teams and individuals of really different backgrounds and ages. Fun and light and with a easy-going humor.
