Good, thorough, thought-provoking, sad.

Very though-provoking writing about the medical and ethical decisions that shape end-of-life care, and ultimately, what makes a life worth living.

I appreciated Gawande's nuance, and the variety of seniors and terminally ill patients whose stories he told. Still considering many of his observations a week later.
