I am a fan of Nicole Chung from The Toast (RIP) and Catapult. I knew some of her story and writing style before reading this book. I loved the short chapters and the way it progressed. It did feel like a long long form article. I loved Nicole's honesty and how she was honest that she didn't always know how she felt. ...more

This was such a moving memoir, full of poignant insights into family, motherhood, and belonging. Chung brings both care and vulnerability to her story, and it feels like an important addition to the conversation about transracial adoption.
