When your book about the space program chooses to skim through the Apollo 13 mission and my first thought is "oh, thank God she's not gonna narrate the whole thing," well, Houston, we have a problem.

This was a frustrating read, because it SHOULD have been a fascinating look at the women behind the space men - the wives of the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions who had the unenviable task of putting on a brave face and projecting the image of a perfect family supporting their American hero 100
