What Members Thought
Oof. This book has so many layers. The world building is impeccable. It feels familiar to our world in a lot of ways, but is so entirely itself. I loved the different writing styles throughout based on the characters (the second person narrative was pulled off expertly - that can so easily go off the rails). It was different enough, but still felt like the same book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
I enjoyed this book the first time through, and loved it even more the second. Reading again, just a year later, so I can finish up the series now that the final book of the trilogy is out!
Loved this one as a reader and as a (lapsed) writer!
