Thomas's latest (after Our Tragic Universe, The End of Mr. Y, PopCo, and others) features more of the themes she works with so well--religion, enlightenment, academia,, mysteries, etc. The story here focuses on a complicated family and their connection to a mysterious plant whose seed pods grant you enlightenment--but then immediately kill you.
