I loved this book. Flora Poste is now one of my favorite literary characters. She talks like a P.G. Wodehouse character, but has a deep empathy and understanding for the people in her life. And the inhabitants of Cold Comfort Farm, Flora's distant relatives, need all the care she can provide. This novel has a crazy cast of characters (somewhat summarized by the cartoonish cover), of whom my favorite is probably Aunt Ada Doom, who once saw something nasty in the woodshed.
