Probably more of a 3.5 stars. A fun book and a quick read (listen). The audiobook was really well done, and I enjoyed the narrator more than I initially thought I was going to. The story itself was entertaining, but there was a lot of just happening to know the right people for each part of the job that was a little too convenient. And the "accession table" was just too much for me. Museum catalog barely know what's in their own collections, let alone what's in every collection in the world. Tha ...more

The central mystery puzzle didn't satisfy me - I wanted more time in the bookstore, more time with the mysterious late night customers, and less immortality quest.

objectively this book was charming and well written, but it was just quirky and hip and neat enough to really, really annoy me, and I will never forgive that.

at least it was a quick read.
