I do love a thick book. Especially one that's interesting enough that you feel like reading it, but not so gripping it gets you to binge. For almost a month, I read a bit of this book nearly every day, catching up with Dorothea, Lydgate, and Fred Vincy, and enjoying George Eliot's pointed observations about human nature and the easy tempo of country life. ...more
