Where the Road Takes Me is a story about two teenagers named Blake and Chloe. One night, they ‘meet’. Blake is jogging and sees a distressed Chloe. He’s the type of guy that needs to help her and make sure she’s okay. Blake is taken with Chloe from the very start. You can tell Chloe has some sort of feeling for Blake, but she won’t let herself feel. Won’t let her self get too close to anyone.
I knew my future. I knew my fate. And I knew that I had absolutely no control of any of

"Sometimes the wrong path can lead us to the right road."

Chloe is a senior in high school and she has a plan, like most people her age, only her plan is a little different. For the last four years she has spent her time being invisible, she doesn’t want to form relationships or include people in her life. Everything is going according to her plan until one night she meets a guy.

“You know how sometimes you can tell that something is about to happen, even though there are no

****I received an arc of Where the Road Takes Me in return for my honest opinion****

If you think that you know what Where the Road Takes Me is about, then you are so completely and totally wrong!!!

If you’ve read any of Jay’s other books (More than This, More then Her, More than Him, and More than Forever), then you know how amazing she is. She writes books with so much heart and love and passion. She gives you all the feels and never disappoints. Jay isn’t just an author who writes romance books

To be completely honest, I wasn't so sure how I would like this book. Jay's previous works, the More series, hold a special place in my heart and I wasn't sure if this book could top it.

IT DID!

Not only was it an amazing novel, but it made me FEEL. It make me feel every possible emotion. I loved it, I hated it, I loved to hate it, I laughed, I cried, I shook my phone in frustration! This book has it all.

I usually put my own synopsis in my reviews but I won't with this one. Trust me when I say yo

Trust that the most unexpected person to fall into your life will actually be your life and soul. Jay McLean does not write to write, she writes to feel. She puts herself 100% all in with emotion and heart from the second the words form with in her. You cannot just read Jay McLean…you feel her from the top of your head way down to your toes. From the thoughts in your brain to the depths of your heart. She can evoke feels from places you didn't know existed and never dreamed possible.

When this author writes she writes from the heart. Her scenes, the situations, her words flow beautifully and captures the true feeling of being sucked into the world being written. This book will take you on a journey of living.

Today will live forever in the memory of tomorrow.

At first glance some may not understand her characters I say that you need to look deeper into the story being told. The story of Chloe Thompson and Blake Hunter is the perfect example of looking beyond the typical norm.

I love the Hunter and red-letter days.

To me this story is more grown up even though the characters are in high school.
Chloe and Blake meet by chance one night.
Chloe is shy and prefers to be invisible. Blake is popular, quite the opposite of Chloe and has a 'girlfriend'. Blake can't seem to keep his brain off of Chloe.
Chloe has a plan, a plan that doesn't include getting attached to anyone. She has a plan to hit the road as soon as she's done with school. Their paths keep crossing and they cont

I have been waiting SO LONG for this book! And I'm so happy that it's finally here, and I get to share it with you!
Let's face it...if Jay McLean writes it, I read it. Period. For those of you who have read her More Than series, this book is not like those. It is more YA than NA. These characters are a lot different from those characters. But that's ok. I love Chloe and Blake. They are both messed up, broken people with messed up, broken lives. And if you're anything like me, their story will mak

I don't think a book needs to be perfect to be great. I have come across various issues with many books, McLean's included, and still found reasons to adore them, just like I adored Where the Road Takes Me. Sometimes her stories veer into the cheesy, sometimes the endings are rushed. Sometimes the shocking scenes seem a bit unbelievable. But never have I not fallen in love with a protagonist or supporting character presented to me by that woman or not been t

This story moved pretty slow for me. I found myself zoning out a lot and wanting to just get there already.
But the end was sweet and I kinda got teary eyed.
I like Jay McLean's writing and I will continue to read whatever she puts out there.

As soon as I read the title of Jay McLean’s newest release, Where the Road Takes Me, I immediately thought of Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road Not Taken,” and while the English teacher in me would argue that the ideas of the two tales are not quite the same, the references to how a life should be lived and the paths that are determined and chosen are aptly explored in both.

Chloe Thompson and Blake Hunter’s roads have been paved a specific way since they were young, and those journeys couldn’t be m
