I don't know if this could be classed as a review but thanks for reading ( might add to it later )This book was so painful to the point that I don't think reviews should be made, because even though they're just characters in a book I feel as though the amount of trauma can be someone's experience... Let that sink in ... Now, while I don't wish this on anyone I couldn't help but hold on to that feeling throughout the story. So what exactly are we reviewing here? Let that sink in ... Now, while I don't wish this on anyone I couldn't help but hold on to that feeling throughout the story. So what exactly are we reviewing here? This goes beyond "trauma dumping" this was a cry for survival and help at the same time, this was struggle, this was an insight on what growing up lonely with no parents around looks like... Yes no parents around when shit gets real .. BECAUSE WHERE THE FUCK WERE THEY??? This book really reminds you to NEVER JUDGE A PERSON AND THE WAY THEY ARE UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND THE "WHY" sometimes you may never understand it just have to accept it. But thankfully Hugh was someone who saw, heard, understood and believed Lizzie -- she became his priority that he forgot himself in the process almost like he made helping Lizzie his sole purpose of existence but even that wasn't enough and that here was my breaking point because even though we sat questioning why screaming up and down, truth is I can't and will never have it in me to be turn on Lizzie.. Chloe Walsh wrote and handled these characters and sensitive topics with so much soul that I struggled to remind myself that it's just "words on paper" because again this can unfortunately be someone's life, someone's pain, someone's struggle, someone's nightmare. Which brings me to ask ths following how are some people finding it in themselves to give the ratings they are giving ( you do you ) but what's even worse is how are some people giving themselves the entitlement to attack the author for writing this book? This is where I draw the line... would you attack a real life Lizzie??? Honestly I will cry over these two babies for the rest of my life 😭 if I had the chance I would genuinely from the bottom of my heart want to thank Chloe for bringing this series into my life and writing with such vulnerability... I love this universe with my whole entire soul and I can't imagine the day it comes to an end.. I don't even want to think about it..

Honestly, I genuinely think that CW needs a round of applause for the way she wrote out this girl’s story.
After T7, I was quite sure that nothing could ever get me to forgive this girl for the way she treated my baby Gibsie, but she definitely did just that. And she did it without destroying Katie or Gibsie in the process.

This review is actually really hard to write🫠🫠
5 stars doesnt even cut it, its such a deep story. i will always defend my lizzie and hugh, i love them so much. This book was so mentally exhausting to read and i had to take many breaks to get through it. Thats also of why it took me literally a week to finish it.

・❥・IDK how to start this review other than the fact I nearly rated this book 1 star but not for the reason everyone was complaining about.

I wanna preface that if you hated Lizzie in the other books but then came to understand her in this one that's okay. I felt horrible for her, and she truly deserved so much better. Her entire family failed her, and I seriously would totally support her villain ark.
First, Hughie and Lizzie’s relationship was adorable, and there were some moments that had me laughing ang giggling. However, soon their relationship became extremely toxic. I understood that because of Lizzie’s bipolar disorder she was hyper sexu 4⭐️| while reading this book, I was utterly horrified and disgusted for everything Lizzie went through. I felt horrible for her, and she truly deserved so much better. Her entire family failed her, and I seriously would totally support her villain ark.
First, Hughie and Lizzie’s relationship was adorable, and there were some moments that had me laughing ang giggling. However, soon their relationship became extremely toxic. I understood that because of Lizzie’s bipolar disorder she was hyper sexual, but towards the end of their relationship, where she stopped taking her meds and seemed to only care about hughie having sex with her, I realized there were many times she forced (or persuaded) him to do stuff with her when— despite his body craving her touch— he clearly stated he wasn’t ready and she wasn’t either. For example, after they broke up, Hughie explained how Lizzie tried to seduce him in many ways (like sneaking into his room) and he had to stop her. While Hughie said that he did crave her touch, he didn’t want it and tried stopping her several times, to which she didn’t listen. Many of the times they had intimacy it wasn’t consented properly, which just didn’t rub the the right way at all. Again, I understand that Lizzie wasn’t really thinking at the time and was in the middle of a manic episode, but it still doesent excuse her actions.
Secondly, I thought it was amazing that Chloe Walsh truly showed how horrible it can be to deal with bipolar disorder and SA, and didn’t romantasize it in any shape or form. When I began reading, I was a bit surprised and thought it was fairly graphic, but then I realized that this is the truth, how it is, as it shouldn’t be sugar coated in any shape or form, and I thought it was very educative that Chloe shaped the story in this way because it really helped me understand how this truly affects a person.
Thirdly, I was absolutely utterly horrified to learn the things that mark did to that poor child. She was so traumatized, and was left even more confused after he watched his sisters boyfriend push her off a cliff. I felt so horrible for her, and the fact that she believed that the flash backs she had during intimacy or random moments were her sisters trauma (as she believed these things were the things mark did to her sister after she found out mark raped caoihme) but no, these flashbacks were her own. They were so horrifying and sad and I had to take a break from reading from how horrible I felt. It was so sad, and I couldn’t imagine how confused Lizzie felt. The pill and hanger scene were ones that I truly will never forget about. Ever.
Overall, this book wasn’t the best one in the series (in my opinion), but it showed true raw and real ways that SA victims dal with their trauma and also exhibited the reality of disorders like BPD, and didn’t romanticize it in any shape or form like other books. (ahem ahem haunting Adeline im looking at you.)
Please know you are not alone in any of your problems, and it will get better. ❤️‍🩹
Also, do NOT read this book without looking at the trigger warnings or if you can’t handle sensitive topics. This book tackles a LOT of triggering topics like self harm, rape, disorders, hallucinations, abuse, etc. And if you do choose to read this book, don’t bully the author. It’s disgusting and inhumane. This book is based on her own story and when you call it unrealistic you are insulting Chloe herself. You can write a review without bullying the author into not wanting to write another book. 🫶

i’ve never cried more than I have reading this book.

I do not understand the hate going towards this book, or Chloe Walsh. This book was very heavy and very dark, however it tackles real life situations and issues exactly as the other books do. It is not fair to stand with one traumatic experience/ character and not the others. Mental health in the romance community is not touched on the way it should be.
