This story had me pacing my living room, clutching my chest, muttering “oh dang” like it was a religious chant.
I cracked this book open expecting a casual fantasy read and suddenly I was knee-deep in shocking trials, curses, morally grey chaos, evil gods, and a grumpy prince with trust issues. Like ma’am, I didn’t sign up for emotional whiplash, but here I am loving every damn second of it.
