There are simply not enough words to describe how absolutely incredible this book is.
I loved every single moment. Even the heartbreaking moments. Even the darkest of dark moments.
I loved it all.
Xander already had my heart, but now, he also has my soul.
In my eyes, can he do no wrong. He is the embodiment of Morally Grey Villain and my ultimate Book Husband.

This is the continuation of a series. Go back and read from the start of you haven’t already. You won’t regret it. Some books are worth the wait and I have been patiently waiting to find out what Lia had gotten herself into and how hard Xander would have to grovel and I was not disappointed. We've been waiting, waiting, waiting for Xander to have his moment.
And GUYS.
It was EVERYTHING AND MORE. Learning about the things that make Xander, well, Xander - Scythes story was SO HEARTBREAKING ... and Xander, well, his story is just PERFECTLY traumatic.
But the road we have to take to get there? UH, THE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE! And DEAR HEAVENS - can Aurelia get a break???

I have been dying for Xander's story and it did not disappoint! I frothed every single chapter!! Not being able to put it down once I started. Since Chapter 20 I have been kicking and screaming! I do not think I have devoured a book so quickly in my life (including Ms Bali's previous books). Just Wow. This one, is ALOT darker in tone than previous books in this series but still manages to keep you hooked. The most important question though I have after finishing this is "WHEN IS THAT BEAUTIFUL UNICORN GOING TO BE FREE?"
