Girl heads off to death camp with an "I'm not here to make friends" mentality and is immediately befriended by a girl from a worse part of town with a perpetually positive demeanour, an array of mythical creatures and a boy who is literal sunshine disguised in flashes of violence. There is an arrogant, entitled bad boy who is obviously sexy as hell and an unhinged fellow student who hates our FMC. Why does he hate her? Doesn't matter, until it really does.

This novella is not long enough. This t

This fantasy was perfect. Hunger Games, meets Forth Wing with elemental magic, a government run unfairly and people struggling to survive. This book was way to short and finished too quickly for me because I could have lived in that world forever. Beautiful animal sidekicks and a Sunshine MMC that makes you melt. I loved this book and CANNOT WAIT for the next in the duet!

Avalon is sent from the Ninth line, and has plans to keep her head down and get through the 2 years with no connections or attention. That all goes out the window when she draws the gaze of the two most powerful (and attractive!) people in Ebrus.
OMG, this book! I read it in a few hours, I LOVED it! This is the first epic fantasy book I have read by Grace. She w

Welcome to Boellium War College where each of the lines sends conscripts to train in the art of war and keep the peace. Avalon is from the ninth line and her plan is to keep her head down for her two years but she soon fails when two of the most powerful people in the College and all of Ebrus can't hide their interest.

The ending of this was such a tease and I need more now. Grace has built such a rich world in a short amount of time, the story has such polar and intriguing characters, awe
