FUCKING HELL!! holly jackson knows her shit. she knows what she is doing. tears are still running down my face after finishing this story. they just wont stop.

the story was slow in the beginning but it didnt lose my attention but then it picked up and i was so hooked and was reading so fast that my brain couldn't catch up.

my baby red went through so much at the hands of the fucking lavoys. that bitch catherine and her fucking psycho son oliver. i am so glad they are dead. more than anything else i wanted them to be dead. and i dont care about maddy. i really dont. i was scared to my bones when i thought red wouldn't make it. but ofcourse she did. she's so so strong. just like her mom. she and her mom deserved better than the fucking lavoys. god the last chapter made me choke on my own tears. when the truth was revealed, when it was revealed how her mom was betrayed and killed made be sob like a bitch. but mostly i was just sobbing for my baby red. for what she went through.

arthur was so sweet for a person who has been born and raised in a mafia family. he was so caring and kind towards red. for absolutely no reason. he shot that bitch catherine for red. he avenged her mom's death. wrote such a sweet letter to red. a letter that broke my heart. he is such a sweetheart and he deserves good things in life. only good things. and i know it in my bones that red went to meet arthur and then they got together and lived happily ever after. no one can convince me otherwise.

btw did we ever find out who was the other person who voted yes?

P.S. - hope simon gets to continue with his acting. because guess who else didn't deserve all this trauma? simon. ...more

"Five Survive" is THE popcorn read of thriller.
I'm sorry, why did the story lack so much and yet still ate it up?

• I really liked most of the characters, the MC felt quite complex for what it is too
• The plot twists were predictable, but they were still entertaining once uncovered
• The pace and progression was really good

My issue is the potential that the premise had, but it was wasted: 6 teens stuck somewhere and a sniper watching, only 5 survive.

I don't normally review books but i just had to for this - it was absolutely amazing!!! The plot was so gripping and immersive i couldn't put it down and when i did i just wanted to pick it up again! There are so many twists and turns and i did not expect to be sobbing through the last few pages! 100% would recommend ...more
