evie was so adorable and funny but also such a badass! i love how slow burn this book was. also the villain 🥺 so morally gray but so sweet when you break down his walls… literally the perfect villain character. and that ENDING holy shit i need the second book asap! i feel so bad for the people who had to wait a year to find out what happens. also THE FROG was the cutest thing ever!! it could be a bit slow at some parts, but i really liked this book! it had me giggling out loud literally from the ...more

I LOVED this book. The characters felt like they had so much depth, and this honestly kind of reminded me the The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches. A sunny fmc and a grumpy but cute mmc and magic interspersed throughout. AND THE TENSION. The obviously growing romance but the denial to everyone else. There is some language it isn’t really constant or as colorful. Overall, cute fall book!
