Ok so I know I’ve been reading this for 2 months and considering I’m a super fast reader that doesn’t make this book look good but I swear it was omg. I’ve just been super busy and didn’t have time to read. This book was utterly amazing, like the overall theme was just so impactful and some of the stuff really resonated with me and I expect to remember it for a while. this book's writing is so poetic and thoughtful, this is my first v.e schwab book and im definitely going to read more of her work! i'll definitely reread this book in a few years, like this is a type of book that shouldn't be read once, you should reread it throughout your life. ...more

I find it interesting how everyone has their own opinion, perspective, and connection with books and their stories. How many times have I read beautiful and horrible things about this book, and now, finally, I have my own opinion and my own connection with it. I loved following Addie; I feel like there’s no character with thoughts, desires, and fears as similar to mine. While I connected so deeply with the book, I also felt detached at times.
