⠀⠀⠀ ❥ This is probably the most repetitive book I’ve ever read. It dragged on endlessly, and was so repetitive, slow, and painfully predictable. The plot was nonexistent, and the characters were so bland annoying. I skimmed so much of the book since it was such a struggle to get through.

I have only a few words. I know some people hate this series, but I generally liked it. I found out I liked it a lot more than I thought by the amount of tears I shed while I read this book.

I had taken the immutable decision not to read this. A year ago, I wouldn’t have believed I would not finish the series, but life is too short to spend your free time on books you wouldn’t enjoy.
And for anyone wondering, it was the scene above Ava’s grave that sealed the deal.

YES YES YES!!! This is an example of the perfect trilogy. I loved every book in this series, and this one was no exception. The plot twists and the heartbreak I experienced during this will leave me needing therapy, but that's neither here nor there. KAI???? HAND HIM OVER. IMMEDIATELY. This series had so much potential, the romance does drag it down a lot, and the second book is almost completely filler and boring filler at that. The history of this fantasy world was so interesting and the politics or trials, Ordinaries, Elites, the plague, etc. but, it really got so dragged out and diluted by romance that is alright, but not in big chunks like what we get in this book.
