⤿ the plot is not in the room with us. or should i say, the plot is a fucking cop out???? this is literally the same thing as powerless. from the trials to the banter, she was rewriting her own book, just with more quoteworthy sentences and high stakes that only exist in all of the character's heads. lauren has lost the plot herself i fear.

╰┈➤ I didn’t sob as much as I did with Powerful but I still sobbed pretty hard. And I loved the moments between Paedyn and Kai. But I didn’t understand half of the plot. No like I did, but most of it I had to use my brain, because I decided to turn off my brain today. Only today.

And the fact that he met Adena and Mak in the after life made me sob at the end, and I’m very interested on finding out who is Mara in Fearful.

I did not really like this book. I am sorry, but I am so disappointed. I loved so much Powerless and the rest, and so I was expecting to feel the same way about this one.
But something just disturb me. I don't really know what it was, but it was there.
In addition, I understand a little bit the feeling that a lot of people had about this book "copying" others. I did not really mind before, but this volume, at least the beginning made me feel like I was reading a fanfiction of Hunger Games 2.

I figured it was probably time for me to review this book. Oh man though I don’t even know what to say this series means everything to me and the fact that it’s over is just heartbreaking. This book is incredible and everyone is right in that it is a bittersweet ending, a few weeks later and I’ll still start crying whenever I see a sad edit. im gonna be honest now that its been maybe like month and a few weeks since i read it i've realized that for anyone who was a huge fan of the first two books and loved those two, if you want to be kinda disappointed, read this book. Otherwise if you dont want to be disappointed, do not read this book and make up your own ending.

I like don’t know what to do with myself now I loved loved loved the writing and the politics I always love fantasy with a more political pov then a quest fighting bit but this book gave me both I such a great way six stars tbh I just idk I loved it and Kai and paedyn will always have a found place in my heart as soon as I go to Barnes and noble I’m gonna get the series cause I was just borrowing from my friend 😭😭😭😭 that’s all I can rlly say but overall 5 stars series
