I liked this book way more than I thought I would. The writing is really good; short sentences and bare descriptions, but smooth. I found it really easy to picture everything, and really easy to get into. What surprised me the most, though, was that the story - Cool Hand Luke's story - is told by another convict, the narrator, Sailor. And it's framed by his experiences on the road gang after Luke's death, though of course he was witness to most of Luke's antics. Very interesting read!
