Like all of the other Philip K. Dick books/stories I've read, this one makes the reader think. What does it mean to be human? And, like most of his other works, it has an ambiguous ending. I dislike ambiguous endings. That and the setting - a future where Earth is mostly radioactive dust and it's a coup to own a live animal of any sort - are what lowered my rating from four stars to three. If you're looking for a quick but deep read, this is for you! As long as you're ready for the ambiguous end
