Everyone is at least familar with The Three Musketeers, even if they have never read it. Therefore I was intrigued when I first picked it up to see if it would live up to my expectations. In many ways it did, in some it didn't. It was not constant action, there were long dry spells. For one thing the plot is nothing like what all the spin-off movies would have one believe.
