我感觉作者就是发现很多成功者都是
circumstances + luck + hard work的组合
you need the opportunities to work hard
when others have to go 1 mile, some just have to go half mile
就是show up at right time, right place with right skill (哈哈好像是正确的废话？）
有趣的例子
bill gates在1968年就得到了用电脑的机会，领先了几乎全世界同时代的年轻人；
韩国航司事故多和人们之间的social hierarchy的关系：副机长不敢指出机长的操作失误；
犹太人裁缝的孩子耳濡目染各种生意和沟通，很多成为了优秀的律师；
亚洲孩子数学好和种米民族的关系：种米是一年需要工作3000小时，人们养成了坚韧勤劳的性格，这点听了特别感动，让我很感谢自己成长的文化
作者在最后一章讲了自己的故事，讲了自己的母亲如何作为dark skinned person曾经觉得命运不公平，但是有趣的却是在那个时代她的 Jamaican background ...more
