I loved this book even more after reading it the second time....Charlie's voice is just so unconventionally adorable!!! ARGGGHHH it's too much!!! Really draws you in, and there's nothing I'd change. The Perk of Being a Wallflower happens to you like life happens to you...and that's what's amazing about it. Thank you, Steven Chbosky! :P ...more

Definitely there's not a 'proper age' to read some books. Of course, the ones rated as not recommended for children, yes, but there's some ones like The Perks of Being a Wallflower that just doesn't have a proper age to read them.

Maybe you're just starting highschool and you loved it or maybe just doesn't fit the type of books you enjoy.
As well, you can be like 35 years old and enjoy this book because it remminded you of your experiences as a teenager. Or maybe you find it childish.
