This is rated and on my to-read shelf because I did not finish it. I started it and got unbelievably bored, but I would like to finish it someday.

It happened! I finished this book in one day. When I picked this up as a teenager I thought I would always hate it. Too boring for me, I had thought. But now that I am no longer a teen and now that I went in without ridiculous expectations I loved it!

Shelves: coming-of-age, bookclub

A wonderful book. The strong first half of the book was not overshadowed by the weaker, predictable second half. Charlie was an extremely powerful protagonist and his story was told with an engaging intensity that is usually lacking in young adult focused novels. I have to admit that it was hard to put this book down, something that I can almost always do at some point or another, but Chbosky's prose was infectious and addictive. Perks of being a wall flower was a very good book. It was strange; all that was happening inside the story itself but i loved it. It dose have some pervy stuff in there but I think its a 5 star book
