I honestly mourn what this book could've been.

I love mystery. This felt like a great horror mystery story with an amazing setup and toxic friendship.

But it's all thrown down the window during the introduction of the paranormal. At first, it was great to set up a 'what it feels like' setting. But instead of it been a real story, they just got the classic. "The devil made me do it."

Hated that... They should've focus on making it possible instead of leaning in the fantastical.
