maybe I'm being overly generous - but I loved Ruins. it is an action packed, fast moving, trilogy ending book. almost every chapter follows a different set of characters. this bothered me before (in the previous two books) but Wells finally married this WITH the pace of the book - and it finally worked well.
Kira is stupidly brave and I love her for it. And how could I have been so blind about Marcus humor? I like how all the women in this book have complex and emotional issues to deal with. and ...more

Note: Spoilers.
• I love the ending, perfect way to end the story. Personally, I think Samm & Kira’s story isn’t finished. Well, I want to see (read) their happy ending, with babies of course. RAWR!
• There are some predictable parts, predictable in a way that it’ll excite you more. I mean when-is-it-going-to-happen-i-want-it-now excitement. *DANCING*
• EPIC! That’s how you describe it those unpredictable parts. Its CRAY CRAY A+

AND KIRA AND SAMM!! I was dreaming for that to happen since I first picked up Partials and THANK YOU DAN WELLS!! My dream came true!
Everything was perfect. Heron's sacrifice, that was amazing. Marcus ...more

I don't know what to rate this. I enjoyed it, but in a detached way-- for some reason, I wasn't engaged. Perhaps it was because I was looking too much at the plot and prose. Perhaps because I couldn't quite remember what had happened in the first two books. I don't know. I enjoyed it-- it was an excellent end to an excellent trilogy, and tied up a lot of plot holes from the first two books-- but it didn't stun me.
