book club has me convinced i’m a book hater but let it be known i loved this one!
very very captivating and emotionally impactful; i wasn’t sure about the changing POVs and formats but they worked perfectly for this story. i had to pause reading a few times because of the graphicness of the violence, but i would never call it gratuitous. every storyline felt deliberately crafted and developed. just really so well done.

A little too serious even for me; if everything had been like chapter 2 where there’s some magical realism I really would’ve enjoyed more
