i sadly saw the movie multiple times before i even knew there was a book. i feel like lots of things were even spookier in the book than the movie in my opinion! the photographs in the book kind of took me out of the book. when i would see them, i would be thinking ‘where did the author get these pictures?’ ‘how does these pictures fit so perfectly?’ ‘did the author take the pictures themselves?’ ‘why does the author have these photos?’ so really the photographs were a little distracting to me,
