2020 Re-read: OMG it floors me how KA even made this work for me. It’s filled to the brim with tropes or plot devices that make me stabby. The love triangle would be a bit ole honking NOPE all by itself. Joe waffling like we’re at a pancake house. Reminders of the jackassery of the Bianchis to Frankie. lord in heaven I can’t believe It works. But it does. Still love it after all these years.

Violet Winters once had it all but lost it when her husband was murdered by a criminal madman. During a cold winter night Violet has to leave her warm bed to tell her neighbor to turn the music down. This series is probably going to be my least favorite KA series. The heroines are just plain unlikable. Vi wasn't nearly as bad as Feb but her naivety grated. She was dating one guy and the same night sleeping with another and didn't seem to think that was a bad thing just because the relationship with Cal wasn't clearly defined. Seriously! ...more

I can seriously say I am so in love with the burg series they try to hide it and play around each other but you can feel the heat coming off the page from Violet and Joe it is so hmmmm I could not put this down sexy, hot, and just wow.
