Very short sports-related novella (hockey) from Tessa Bailey. I've read her books before but don't remember them ever being this smutty. From start to finish, I didn't find anything especially funny and or meaningful in the storyline either -- all porn and no plot. I didn't really care about or find anything interesting or positive about the main characters either. So, no -- not for me!

Britta & Sumner Mayfield

Sumner is about to be deported unless he finds a way to stay in the US. He needs to stick around long enough to hopefully be called up to the NHL. His teammates think it's a good idea to get Britta to marry him to stay in the US.

Britta agrees with this, and she and Sumner are married. They of course have to spend time with one another to get to know each other to pass the inspection with immigration.

I needed some wine...

I needed some wine to go with this cheese. It was a sweet, short read, but the beginning had me struggling to stay engaged. The story got better as it went along, but I had a hard time getting used to the sweetness of Sumner that would suddenly switch over to a filthy, filthy mouth and mind. It ended up being a cute read, though, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for quick, cheesy marriage of convenience story. ...more
