I’m balancing right on top of the fence for this one. The entirety of it, I guess was a sweet, friends to lovers romance, but certain pieces of the whole, well, some of those parts were just not my thing.
I hate to say I was bored but the guys weren’t all that interesting to me. I mean, I never really felt anything for either of them either way. Even when there was stuff to feel and emotions were high the tone seemed to remain the same. Dry. Maybe it was all the telling and not a lot of showing. ...more

Well-written romance between two childhood friends who pine for each other at different times over twenty-odd years while living in the small ranching community of Plum Valley, Texas.

They care deeply (and selflessly) for one another and it makes for an incredibly satisfying conclusion when they finally reach their happily ever after.

“Thank that heart of yours for me,” I tell him. “I’m glad it never let go.”
I'm not ashamed to admit this book pulled at my heartstrings and that I cried at least 3 times like an idiot. Both Wyatt and Easton are extremely likable characters. This is a slow burn best friends to lovers and it spans through a couple of decades.
Never saw the appeal with cowboys, but this book changed my mind. This is a swoonworthy love story.
