It’s another “Knockemout” book release from author Lucy Score and now my favorite. She has upped the ante much higher on the scale of reading appeal. I sure hope to see more of these characters in future books. Not many authors can pull me into their story so quickly, keeping me enthralled through chapter after chapter (555 pages), without losing its wow-power at some point along the way. But I was all in from start to finish without hardly a break. The sexual tension seeps through the pages and ...more

This was a great grumpy hero, somewhat sunshine heroine and a set of circumstances that put them into each other’s paths. This was sweet the way our hero loved the heroine’s niece and always included her in decisions even when being overbearing. The slow burn was just right, not to long of a wait but enough to make it worth it when it finally happens because there is a good amount off build up and banter leading up to it. It’s very satisfying 😉 This was a great example of tropes I’ve r ...more

I really enjoyed the story. I did think it was about 100 pages too long in the middle, which is saying a lot coming from someone who LOVES long books. Great characters. Great writing. Great emotional depth. Those three things kept me reading even when things started to get slow in the middle.
I read the print copy.

Naomi Witt and Knox Morgan
Location: Knockemout, Virginia
Lucy Score has this amazing ability to make me laugh out loud when I least expect it.
Naomi comes to Knockemout at the request of her sister and ends up in a situation that she wasn't expecting but shouldn't have been surprised by due to her sister Tina's past behavior. She also ends up losing somethings but gaining more than she bargained for.
Knox comes on the scene highly pissed because he thinks Naomi is her sister and he completely goe ...more
