Book 2 in the Monstrous series is another treat, though I'll start by saying I liked Book 1 better.

The reason is Hunter. Whom Edin finds and rescues from a pit that he's fallen into. Hunter is on a mission to rescue Charlie, his best friend, who'd been taken by enemies, and Edin does everything in his power to help Hunter despite not knowing him from Adam. (That's how GOOD Edin is).

Edin, the second in Lily Mayne's Monstrous series, has some of the same flaws as the first book: repetitive sex scenes, not enough world building, and a lot of journeying through The Wastes. YMMV.

Hmmm…..I preferred Edin in Wyn’s book. His dialogue was a little cringey in this one - at times he came across as a simpleton. Also, he had no real reason to help Hunter, and it didn’t help that Hunter was a jerk for a good portion of the story. Overall, I enjoyed the continued world building, and am looking forward to learning more about the lives of The Raiders.
