I can't believe I am doing this, but this story isn't working for me. I just find the h is annoying and the rambling is getting on my nerves. It's probably just me being cranky because I loved KA's older work. Anyway, I'm at 10% and tapping out. I may try to go back and finish at another time, maybe.

5 Stars!
Whoa. Not my usual style yet I'd follow Kristen Ashley anywhere when it comes to her words and stories. The Girl in the Mist is her AND my first thriller romance and y'all, I was completely obsessed in all the ways.
Every page. Every word. Every emotion. Unforgettable at every turn. This new release will have you on the edge of your seat the entire journey.. I'm talking allllllll the pages and leave you breathless in soooo many moments. A strong storyline and new characters that you won't ...more

Interesting new setting for a KA novel.
I read several reviews after I purchased the book. It was actually in my TBR pile for a few weeks and I wanted a reminder of what it was about. After reading some of the reviews I wasn’t sure if I would like it. A lot of them were negative, too much explicitness and not enough story. With that said, I own almost all of her books. So when I started reading I did it with prejudice. I shouldn’t have. In typical KA fashion she pulled me into the s ...more

One of my favorite KA series is the Berg, and this one had a lot of similar vibes.
Delphine is an author and former television star, and has moved to Misted Pines to write her upcoming novels in a place where she wont' be interrupted. She purchases a home with an incredible view, and shortly after moving in notices a girl in the fog outside. She learns that she's the daughter of a former FBI Profiler Cade Bohannan, and has two brothers that also live on their property.
