I really enjoyed this book.
I love that the retelling was not right on the nose, but the author made it her own world. Hades was amazing, and Persephone only annoyed me once. Her quick shift in the beginning was a bit too sharp, but she really grew into character. The little details like the puppies, and mentions of winter really did it for me. I look forward to the rest of this series.

I really enjoyed this story. Great retelling of Hades and Persephone with a modern twist. There were some parts that I felt needed to be more fleshed out. How did these people become gods and goddesses if they weren't legacy titles? Does anybody have any magic? What happened to all the Hera's? I'm looking forward to the next book.

This book was not what I expected based on how it was presented on Booktok. This is a love story and not particularly dark. I will be passing on the rest of the series.
