This author has a way of ripping out your heart, stomping on it, putting it through a meat grinder and after all that, it still beats!! I went through every emotion reading/listening to this story, but I think that happens with most of Ms. Cherry’s books that I read.

This was a really good emotional read for me. The two main characters are dealing with life on life's terms. Oliver Smith is one half of a singing duo with his twin brother Alex when Alex is killed in a car accident his whole world is shattered. Alex was the outgoing twin while Oliver is more of an introvert. Emery is a single mom raising her daughter Reese but bearly getting by she works as a bartender. This was ok. I clearly didn’t connect with it like all my friends did. It was ok for me, a bit over the top in parts. I did like the main characters for the most part. I could have done without the villainous others.
