I usually struggle with this author, so I was surprised when I was really enjoying the story. I loved both Quinn and Rowan, and the side characters were also fun. Then about 30% I hit a wall. I felt like the story started to have too much filler and it just dragged for me.

Most of my friends loved it, so I know it’s me and definitely not the book. Please read other reviews while I go sit my cranky ass in a corner and sulk.

Pair one of my favorite authors & a shifter book, sign me up! Rowan is a human tracker who was raised hating shifters. When someone needs to be found, he is called in along with his tracking dog Talon and his horse Maze. He does his tracking on his own. When he is called to help find two escaped convicts, he meets up with Scott who I hated with everything in me, and he never redeemed himself IMO.
