I loved this book, it made me cry and laugh, it made my stomach hurt and flutter, it made me want to cause real pain to some serious assholes and give big smothering hugs to some truly wonderful humans. It was a complete slow burn that was a push and pull almost to the end, such a great book!!

2.5 stars the first half and 3.5-4 stars the second half.
The first half of the book I almost gave up a few times and it took me a while to want to get through it. But I'm a big Mariana Zapata fan, so I stuck with it. Although I liked that Luna was given what would be thought of as an unconventional job as an auto painter, I didn't like Luna, or as Mr. Cooper calls her "little moon", that much. I found that she acted more like a older teenager than her actual late twenties.

Mariana Zapata is the QUEEN of the slow burn! So many times I wanted to just shake the ever loving stuffing out of Rip he was just that stubborn.
I love that Luna was a badass with a heart of gold who was the bright spot in so many peoples lives.
Definitely looking forward to reading more of this author.
