So, I liked this book. Not as much as other KA books, but it was still good. I really want Kristen Ashley to write a m/m story. I'd love Lash's story. I picture Gale Harold as Lash. I don't know why exactly this wasn't a 5 star book for me. Maybe it was that the ending was anti-climactic, or that the relationship didn't have the drama of a usual KA book, internal drama that is. I am totally, utterly and completely in love with this book, with its storyline, with the picture it paints and with its characters. Its characters, particularly Ivey and Gray are beautiful, strong, wonderful people and I want me a cowboy!

I never wanted Play it Safe to end, I was totally invested in it. Kristen Ashley is an incredible author who managed to suck me in and had me laughing, crying and swooning with every page I turned.
