Quinn and Graham were facing a major crisis in their marriage. That's about all I'm going to say on the subject matter contained on the pages of this highly anticipated release from Colleen Hoover. As always, the writing is outstanding, the story is strong and covers a lot of ground in the emotions arena. All the warnings of "Not an easy read" weren't bluffing. It had me in tears for a large part of the story. It hurt my heart and made me angry, made me want to shake both of them and sometimes r

After reading one of the author's previous novels - November 9 - I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, it just didn't touch me in the same way.
This is actually two novels - the story of a couple falling in love, and the story of the same couple nearly destroying each other in a marriage. The first story was excellent and I loved every minute of it. It was hilarious in parts. But, the second part had me dreading to read the even numbered chapters.

Oh man - this book was hard to read. It was so sad to watch the back and forth and see the couple who "Then" started out with so much love, hope, connection and physical affection, and see the "Now" and witness all of the pain, loneliness, guilt and silence between the two. I couldn't personally relate to what their main struggle was in the book, however, I have many friends who have gone through very similar struggles, and it is agonizing to witness the anguish and hopelessness it entails, espe

Hoover has done it again.... Ggrreeaat book!! I love the plot- Graham is most definitely my book boyfriend-- all mine ladies, back the fuck up!!

Oh my emotions!
This woman can’t write a bad book. This book made me an emotional basket case. This is unlike any book Colleen has written. Told in alternating “then” and “now” chapters, this is the story of Quinn and Graham. They meet at a terrible time but form a connection that will play out in such a romantic, sweet way. In the present, they are facing something that could tear their marriage apart. This book was everything!

I never write reviews, I honestly just use goodreads to track my reading, but this book gave me too many feelings..... I can easily say Colleen Hoover is my favorite author, I devour every single book I read of hers, but this one I can honestly say was my favorite. It was honest, heart wrenching, beautiful and just a real depiction of love and marriage and how hard those two things can be at times. I highly highly recommend it!
