**Audio Re-Read, 2024**
Quick note at the start...I seriously dislike the new narrator for this one. His voice and just the way he reads the story. I honestly almost feel like reading the book instead of listening, it is that bad this go round. Ugh. I'd love Mary to have these all redone.
Ok, so I finished it and no lie, it is a testament to just how much I love this series, because like I mentioned above, the audio for this is AWFUL. The flat reading, no emotion, no change in tone is terrible. Co ...more

I liked books one and two; however, books three and most especially four, needed some serious work and now by book five, I had hoped Jory had grown up, but no such luck. He is still the unlikeable character (although EVERYONE in the book loves him) from the first two volumes I came to dread. Sam is back and he's great, but I just did not buy this plot. Sad to say, this series is done for me. I love Mary Calmes' other books, but this one was almost a dnf for me.

Jory is back. YES!!!! I can't help it. I adore Jory and Sam. Jory is nuts, lovable, and he makes me laugh. Bulletproof shows a bit of growth in Jory's character without taking away the traits that makes him unique. Sam is Sam. They are so good together.

I did not care for the narrator as I was used to the way Paul Morey read their parts. In addition, he mispronounced some words and that drove me nuts. The wanting Jory & not caring that he is married got on my nerves. I loved how bad ass Jory was at times. Overall I did like this one & the sex was pretty hot.
