Shelves: romance, crazy-love, books-to-movies

Well, I think all of the hype surrounding this book falls into two categories. 1) Those who love a decent guilty pleasure trashy romance and 2) those who could care less about that and just don't want to be the one person around the water cooler discussions that hasn't read it. I happen to fall into the first category and accept the book for what it is. It won't win any literary prizes and I often wanted to smack the main female character myself for being so silly. What can I say about Christian Grey that hasn't already been said.
1. He's extremely rich.
2. He's extremely handsome.
3. He's extremely intriging.
4. He's my new book boyfriend.

I loved the story it was sensual,sexual and erotic. It was a little much at times but overall it was a amazing book. I loved how hard Ana fell for Christian and he slowly fell for her. I smiled alot,I cried at the end. This book was one of the best well written erotic fantasy I've ever read. ...more

WOW! Talk about being consumed by a story. I read it in a day and a half.

Ana and Christian's relationship is so dangerous, passionate, sweet, and unhealthy, all at the same time. You really want it to work one minute and the next you're thinking Ana should run, how can it possibly work when Christian is so broken. The more that's revealed about Christian, the more you see how incredibly messed up he is. This is a profound love story: disturbing, haunting, chilling, and incredibly intriguing.

I'm trying to put myself in the heroine's shoes. If I were not only new to BDSM., but also sex, and involved with a ridiculously handsome millionaire with emotional issues, would I be overemotional, insecure, and at times want to call it quits? Probably. Recognizing that makes forgiving the heroine's flaws much easier.
