Shelves: buddy-reads, 4-stars, 2016, 3-stars, 2013

So, I read this book just over 3 years ago and rated it 3 Stars. I originally picked up this book because I wanted to know what the fuss was about and why people hated and/or either loved this book so much. I will be the first to admit, I had lots of mixed feelings. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. At the time, I had never read anything quite like this, so maybe that's why it was so hard to wrap my head around this story.

Okaaay unexpectedly I kinda slightly enjoyed this!
I mean how could you not enjoy silly clumsy Ana and her continual chatter with her 'inner goddess' and 'Subconscious'.
This book was not a serious read for me, I listened to the audiobook and felt more like I was listening to a silly humorous way too dramatic drama. I mean even the awful writing contributed in my laugh out loud moments.

Everyone who stops at just book one... You're not really grasping the whole picture. I'm not gonna review this series but I will say it is amazing read and you need to read all three to understand the whole effedupness that is Christian Grey.

I loved this series and can reread it over and over. It took me about a year after it came out to read it because in my head I thought it wouldn't live up to my expectations of a romance novel but when I do ally did. It worth it! Don't just stop here and be ...more
