I love Kristen Ashley! It doesn't matter what she writes, I know I'm going to enjoy it. So whether I'm in a book funk and need to be pulled out, want to laugh and/or possibly cry, or want to enjoy a hot sexy man, she's my go to.

I was hooked on this book from chapter 1 and I loved that. I was just reading along and then thought, "whaaatttt????" I couldn't put it down. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about these characters and picked up my kindle and read for two more hours before I I love Kristen Ashley! It doesn't matter what she writes, I know I'm going to enjoy it. So whether I'm in a book funk and need to be pulled out, want to laugh and/or possibly cry, or want to enjoy a hot sexy man, she's my go to.

Ty Walker is released from prison after serving five years for a crime he did not commit. He has a plan and that plan is vengeance. Vengeance against anyone and everyone that had any part in framing him, including dirty cops, drug dealers, and past lovers. But when he walked out those prison gates he wasn't expecting Lexie Berry to be waiting for him.

Lexie Berry has had nothing but crap luck throughout her life. No parents, grandparents, siblings. She grew up with her murdered boyfriends family and is stuck dealing with his criminal friends. When she agrees to a favor she gets a lot more that she thought. Ty Walker is walking towards her and she has no idea that this may be her lucky day.

For a woman that has had such a shitty life, Lexie is one of the sweetest more caring and giving characters. I think because her life has been crappy she wants to make sure that she brings happiness to everyone she encounters. She really was a bright light all throughout this book even when it was a little dark.

My heart broke for what Ty was put through and why it happened to him, but I wanted nothing more than for him to stick it to everyone that screwed him over. Lexie was a gift for him. I don't think he could of done what he did without her.

The thing I love most about Kristen Ashley's books is that they really tell the entire story. When you get to the point where you would expect most books to end, you're only about 60% into a KA book. There was sooo much story here that I really got to experience everything they went through and saw it all the way through.

The only thing I disliked was a few monologues in the book. They were very long and all the characters seemed to speak in this clipped off alpha speak that was sometimes hard to follow. I felt like a little bit more variety in character dialogue would of made it great!

Next up is Breathe! Can't wait to see what Chace has in store for us. It's amazing how you can go from hating a guy one minute to feeling sorry for him and then kind of loving him. ...more
