Ex-NFL rookie, now a matchmaker in college, meets his match.

OK, I only read this because I saw the Passionflix movie adaptation and yeah, the movie was better. Mostly because the movie was smart enough to showcase the good stuff and leave out the bad stuff like this scene 25% into the bk where he hooks up with some random chick:

I hid a wince. Too eager. But for this visit? It didn’t matter.
Remember, I slept with stupid girls, not sad ones. And by the look of her? She

This book has such an awesome premise, I couldn't wait to start it. It didn't hurt that I love Rachel Van Dyken's work. I was instantly drawn into the book and fell in love with Ian. I loved his personality. I love being in his head and seeing things from his point of view. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Blake. It took a long time for me to warm up to her. Ian Hunter just didn't cut it for me. He was not a likable character. His personality didn't even charm me -- too full of himself and not even very nice to his friends. Blake was okay -- but then again, I didn't find myself bonding with her either. The story was off the mark for reality in my opinion. Just too much of nothing really. I won't be continuing the Wingmen series. ...more

This was a great, fun read! Loved the banter between Ian and Blake and also between Lex & Gabi. Their story is next and should be fun.

I look forward to seeing the movie with Nick Bateman!

I'm so glad this story was told from Ian's pov, because otherwise I wouldn't have liked him. He was such a dick. The good thing thing is that just having his pov and not Blake's didn't take anything away from the story.

The chemistry between them was so evident, but I wish Ian had to work harder for her especially after his words and behavior from when the first met.

Still, I enjoyed it, and I must say that Lex and Gabi entertained so I can't wait to read their story.
