4.25- 4.50 RATING- I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. I liked the first book in the series and recognized the potential of the author in that debut. Book two was a little disappointing. I thought the author did too much "telling" and not enough "doing". I almost put off reading this third book because of that. So glad I didn't!

Ok. Wow, just wow.

Okay so before I start my rant I want to make it clear that I have nothing personal against this author and in no way is this a chance for me to just bitch for the sake of bitching. But this book was such a disappointment that I'm actually pretty sad.

I became a fan after reading Raine Falling. It was so intense and everything I imagined a bikie book to be then book 2 came along and I was like uhhhh not as great and a little bit of a let down but remained optimistic hoping lik Ok. Wow, just wow.

Okay so before I start my rant I want to make it clear that I have nothing personal against this author and in no way is this a chance for me to just bitch for the sake of bitching. But this book was such a disappointment that I'm actually pretty sad.

I became a fan after reading Raine Falling. It was so intense and everything I imagined a bikie book to be then book 2 came along and I was like uhhhh not as great and a little bit of a let down but remained optimistic hoping like hell book 3 would be better. Then Taming Crow was released and I just can't even express how disappointed I am.

First of all, was this really even a bikie book? Because other than the occasional mention of men riding bikes you don't really even get an insight of the bikie life. At the start Marinaro tells of turf wars between the gangs and clubs but it was only really a way to explain Crow's presence in another town. Other than that the issues between the club and said gangs wasn't ever mentioned again and a lot of my questions were left unanswered which was really frustrating because I felt like it could of made for a more interesting story. Like what the deal was with Jury? Or the Aces? Did Crow join another chapter? It was so unsatisfying and now I'm just confused and so immensely frustrated that I was basically left with half a story that was so falsely advertised. Please do not call this a bikie book cause it really wasn't.

Second the whole novel felt so lazy. I felt Marinaro threw in Jett to just get the link between H and h going instead of thinking out a unique storyline between them enabling readers to connect with them. In fact this book lacked a lot substance. The storyline basically went like this; Grieving, single mother and widow with a young son are struggling in life. Young, handsome and dangerous outlaw(and I use that term loosely) finds widow, makes her and son happy. They fight a little then ride off into the sunset and have babies. The end.

Like CMON really? The storyline was just pointless and ridiculous. There was no build up. No particular event that caused mayhem. It was just boy meets girl, they love each other. Bye the end.

Then the characters. Melanie got on my nerves. She went from a strong mother making a way for her and her son at the start of the book to a deranged widow who had sequestered herself in order for her to make penance. As for Crow. He was just an all around disappointment. I find myself using this word a lot but honestly that word basically sums up my feelings towards this book. Crow is suppose to be a complete badass outlaw bikie. He was suppose to be broody and dangerous. Instead I just got a sad lovesick man who was unsure about himself. I liked him sometimes cause he was sweet and cute but that was it. He was cute. I didn't want cute and cuddly. I wanted a in your face alpha male who makes me pant.

*SIGHHHHH* I'm just sad. I really had hopes for this book. I really wanted this one to evoke the same feelings and excitement Raine Falling did, but it didn't happen. It feels like two different authors wrote these books and quite honestly had I just been reading these books without knowing titles or authors I never would've guessed they were the same. Dear God I really hope book Four is it. Please God let it be it. I have been anticipating this book since book one and the way Marinaro has been promoting Jules and Glorys story throughout ALL THREE books I hope like hell that she delivers on this one.

Because I have not been impressed thus far and I hope for my sake that the next book is better than this one. But then again it wouldn't really take much to beat the standards.

Really enjoyed this one, even though for a biker book the smexy times were few and far between and the slow burn build up was something I wasn't expecting, yet it worked.

I wasn't a fan of Crow at first, he was a total dick to Melissa which was unnecessary and damn unkind. He redeemed himself with the patience he showed her once he got his head out of his arse and also how heart-meltingly perfect he was with Jett. Can't beat a badass biker that turns himself inside out for a kid.
