I struggled with this Rock Chick book, sadly. Vance and his actions bugged me and Jules kinda annoyed me.

I've read RC Renegade many times already and I'm only writing my review now because I feel certain that I can now accomplish it without blathering like an idiot about how much I loved the book.

RC Renegade (along with RC Regret) is my favorite RC book! What can I say? Vance Ouray Crowe is HOT! from every cell in his Native American blood to his kickass, badass name. There's just something about Vance...*sigh* I wanna be Mrs. Crowe! But I'm not getting myself into a fight with Jules, I'm just not I've read RC Renegade many times already and I'm only writing my review now because I feel certain that I can now accomplish it without blathering like an idiot about how much I loved the book.

There's just something about Vance...*sigh* I wanna be Mrs. Crowe! But I'm not getting myself into a fight with Jules, I'm just not brave enough. She wasn't called "The Law" for nothing.

Evidence suggests hot men like their women sassy. Vance started to really see Jules when she mouthed off her views about Catwoman. I don't usually love the heroines I read about, I just like some of them, but I loved Jules. She's very cool, and kickass to boot. Perfect for Vance in every way (even that she was a virgin, I think Vance needed someone that would be his and his alone). If anyone could handle Vance's reputation and other catty bitches, it would be Jules, and boy, did she handle them. Jules was also one of the heroines that I could most relate to. I, just like her, don't have a domestic bone in my body.

It was hilarious when the Rock Chicks, along with May, Tod and Stevie, discussed with Jules her cherry-popping. There are really no boring moments with the Rock Chicks! Add to the mix Shirleen, Darius, Heavy and Zip and you can be sure the craziness factor ratcheted up a notch! You've also just got to love Jules' Uncle Nick.

I love Luke. Don't get me wrong, he's one of my favorite guys, but I didn't like what he did here. I always thought it was an unwritten rule in the decent-men-rule-book that you are not supposed to make moves on a friend's girl even if they were already through. What he did was not admirable, IMO. I did not like what he was saying to Roxie in RC Redemption, too, but I liked his lines (they were very cocky!). But still, I forgive Luke. Hard not to forgive a hot guy. Especially with the way he acted when Jules was shot. I really believe he felt something for Jules.

This book has got to be one of the sweetest and most touching books I've read. They didn't say "I love you," just that they're home to each other and I think that has more impact. And of course, Vance's "No matter what" speech would be what every girl dreams to be told. At least I do. I couldn't stop listening to Papa Roach's song No Matter What everytime I get to that part.

Rock Chick Renegade, for me, has more depth than the previous books in the series. You can really feel the care and affection of the characters to one another.

Vance and Jules are one of my all-time favorite couples. Perfect! They were just perfect for each other and it was the perfect love story for them. This was one of those books that I didn't want to end. ...more
