In Grayson’s Vow, I immediately felt a similarity to another California wine country series written by Susan Mallery that I read some years ago. Light-hearted and fun-to-read, but not really what I expect when I start a novel by Mia Sheridan. Yes, it was fun-to-read, but it just didn’t have that unique quality in the depth, spirit, or intense connection I usually find in Sheridan’s books.

I had a love/hate relationship with this book. 
Kira is desperate to achieve freedom from being under her father's thumb, so she proposes a plan to Grayson (who is basically a stranger) that they get married and split the money she has inherited from her grandmother (which she only gets once she's married).
Grayson is also desperate to keep his vow to his father about restoring the family vineyard.
The jest of the story is these two people embark on this crazy scheme and then fall in love.
