3.0 RATING- I know I'm in the minority here but ummm..this just was not good.

I'm giving this book three stars because the writing quality was okay and there were no major editing issues but the story left alot to be desired. I can't really even qualify this one as a guilty pleasure, it was more like a bad movie. You can take a lot of ingredients and put them in a pot but it doesn't mean you're going to come out with something good. I kind of feel like that's what happened here. There's the grit ...more

This book has been on my kindle for awhile now. With how long my TBR list is, it does take me awhile to get to books. I thought the synopsis made this story seem really unique, and it was. With Mae being from a cult/commune and Styx with his speech issues. But I didn't feel a connection to the characters. I know that I'm in the minority with my rating.
